Taken from our successful and FUN Summer Art Camp, Mrs. Haley Saldana continues her teacher magic with this fun and creative yoga and Art class for kids. Creative games and crafts make yoga fun, but also teaches kids about yoga, the benefits of stretching, being active and mindfulness. Use code MULTI10 to get a discount when you sign up for 3 classes (applies to any of our classes for the same participant.) Parents are welcome to sign up for the class as well! Pick a date, or pick them all!

About the Instructor: Haley Saldana is a certified yoga instructor who is certified to teach adults and children. She has been teaching for over 20 years and is currently an elementary school teacher at Rod Kelly, and an instructor at our Summer Art Camp where she taught yoga for a week at Christmas Hill Park.

September 7th-Clay Figures: sculpt, mold, or shape clay, offering a nonverbal channel for self-expression


October 5th- Eye pillows for relaxation and meditation


November 2nd-Flower crowns: the rhythmic repetitive hand motions of creating flower crowns can induce similar, relaxed, states as meditation


December 7th-Gratitude Journals: take time to be grateful for people and things in your life practicing gratitude can improve sleep mood and immunity

Past Sessions:

yoga pose people with pipe cleaners: Make your favorite poses out of pipe cleaners.

relaxation eye pillow: We will make eye pillows to help us with our relaxation. We will fill the pillows with rice and some essential oils. The light pressure that eye pillows place on the nerves in the brain helps to improve mood and lower heart rate. 

bath bombs: self care & science come together to create these bath bombs to use at home or share with friends & family.

collage-we will create collages to tap into our vision for the new year.

bracelet making- we will write affirmations and make bracelets with those affirmations in mind

bubble wands- we will make breathing wands and send our worries away, floating on bubbles

Location: 64 W. 6th Street

Requirements: Flexible and loose clothing that allows movement. Reusable waterbottle filled.

Optional: Yoga mat, extra shirt for Art activities, snack. We will have extra mats available.
